Compared to pico- or nanosecond pulses, femtosecond pulses achieve better quality for micromachining applications.
With a pulse duration of less than 400 fs, FEMTOFLASH guarantees minimal heat-affected zone (HAZ) and almost no debris around the processed area.
Thanks to FEMTOFLASH technology the high quality is also maintained at high machining speed. Indeed the pulse energy is slightly above the machining threshold and it does not produce detrimental effects that compromise precision.
